A POPULAR EDUCATION MOVEMENT

The Coexistants’ motto is “Diversity of conviction, unity in action”. In 45 towns and cities across France, 2,300 Coexistants coordinate 1,350 dialogue events to develop critical thinking among citizens, 450 solidarity operations to encourage civic involvement among young people and 550 workshops to raise awareness and educate secondary school pupils about living together.

COEXISTANTS, THE PRIMARY BENEFICIARIES

As a Coexistante, I've learnt lots of things, like the value of commitment and working together. But above all I've learnt a lot about myself, my faith and how I want to contribute to society. I've rediscovered my dreams simply by talking or listening to other Coexistants.
Élodie, age 23
Coexisting in Nice since 2014
I met Coexister at a fairly difficult time in my life. I had just finished my studies and was struggling to find my first job. I was questioning all my abilities, my know-how and even my interpersonal skills. Thanks to Coexister, I regained my self-confidence. My abilities, my commitment, my work and my identity were finally recognised, and that did me a world of good.
Salima, age 27
Coexisting in Valence since 2016
As an atheist and originally anti-clerical, I found myself in a group of people who were all talking about their vision of religion and their relationship with spirituality, and all without shouting at each other or beating each other up. That's what impressed me the most!
Gérald, age 33
